The Exciting Fifth Generation Audi A4
The newest Audi A4 is the perfect mix of luxurious car and sporty performance. As far as interior appointments, leather is standard on A4s. No faux, synthetic pleather. The base version of the Audi A4 comes with a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing a strong 190 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. A 7-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel-drive round out the powertrain.
An upgraded engine is available, moving the needle for horsepower up to 252 and torque up to 273 lb-ft. This engine upgrade also brings the famous Audi Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The EPA MPG ratings for the front-wheel-drive configuration is 27 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway. The Quattro powertrain is rated 24 MPG city and 34 MPH highway. As expected, in their respective drivetrain profiles, both engines provide strong acceleration for enhanced driving excitement.
Audi A4 Fourth Generation: Luxurious and Eye-Catching
The previous generation of Audi A4s extended from 2016 back nearly a decade. Most recently in this fourth-generation A4 era, Audi also used a 2.0L inter-cooled turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. This motor produced 220 horsepower. Its EPA fuel-efficiency ratings were 24 in the city and 31 on the highway for the front-wheel-drive powertrain configuration. For the Quattro drivetrain outfitted with a 6-speed manual transmission, MPG ratings were 22 MPG with city driving and 32 MPG driving on the highway.
