We’re helping to support Autism, will you?
1 in 68 children are now affected by Autism. Children with Autism can progress, but early intervention is key. That’s why Donohoo Auto is supporting two great organizations in July and August, KultureCity and the Autism Society of Alabama.
During the month of July, Donohoo Auto will donate $10 from every car sold to the Autism Society of Alabama (ASA) as part of our sponsorship of its Autism Shines Gala on August 20, 2016.
The Gala supports the ASA, which improves services for persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families through education and advocacy. Specific programs include:
- Advocacy
- Resources
- Network Groups
- Respite Program
- First Responder Training
We’re also a high-level sponsor of KultureCity’s KultureBall, taking place on August 6.
KultureBall is an annual star-studded event where celebrity and philanthropy walk hand-in-hand to promote acceptance, foster awareness and raise funds for programs benefiting children & families with autism. KultureCity’s programs include:
- Organizing sensory-friendly events
- Providing lifeBOKS, a kit to prevent wandering and wandering-related accidents
- Toys AUcross America, providing toys that promote wonder, joy, and learning
- Ignite Conference, to help promote conversation about great ideas on social change, equal rights, acceptance, and inclusion
